Ada Lovelace was thrilled to learn that our school was nominated by Ealing council School Travel Team for TfL STARS Top Schools Awards thanks to all the work we do for active, responsible and safe travel. The judges were very impressed with our work even though we weren't chosen as a regional winner on this occasion.
The nomination was for our School Travel Champion member of staff, Ms Rodgers, as well as our STARS Ambassadors who delivered a range of safe and sustainable travel activities during the last academic year to engage their peers. Activities included bikers breakfasts, the golden lock and an Active Travel week where the Ambassadors encouraged fellow students to walk to school or 'Drop a Stop' or 'Park and Stride' if they lived further away.
The Ambassadors have also given a number of engaging assemblies covering interesting topics such as Road Safety and the health and environmental benefits of active travel. They have left a great legacy for the current group of Ambassadors who have continued this important work since September.
