The Year 8 Boys Football Team became Borough Cup Champions last night after an exciting 4-2 win over Ealing Fields! The team put in a great performance allowing them to control most of the game through coordinated passing, retention of the ball and a great ability to play up the wings of the pitch. Two brilliant free kicks from Shunya put Ada Lovelace 2-0 up before half time, and despite conceding two goals, the boys had the resilience to score twice again to take the match and trophy. This group has been brilliant to work with this year, one that can win matches in all ways from dominating 6-0 victories to teeth clenching penalty shoot-out deciders; I thoroughly look forward to more strong performances next season.
Well done to Ealing Fields, it was great to see the Trust well represented in the Cup Final!
