We were delighted to welcome over 100 students to our T Levels induction today.
Students had the chance to meet eachother, and trial a taster class.
Our current Year 12 students and Year 13 students (who have now graduated) were a key part of the day; chatting with the new students in the cafe and then some Year 13 students spoke to the room about their experience of doing T Levels and shared their successes in terms of Amazon degree apprenticeships and University offers.
The Accounting students were put into groups acting as small businesses. Given a budget they had to allocate spend for first month's trading and agree how to maximise income.
The Laboratory Science students created blood smears and viewed their red blood cells under the microscope.
The Digital students were set a group task and made great progress.
All students took part in a professional skills taster workshop so they could experience first hand how Ada Lovelace teaches them the crucial softer skills that will really help them stand out from the crowd.
We hope everyone enjoyed the day and got an insight into how T Levels are the Plan A choice for students who are ahead of the game. The calibre of work placements available at Ada Lovelace, the subsequent post 18 options and the softer skills and pastoral programme is what sets our T Level offering apart from others.
We wish the students the best of luck with their exam results and look forward to welcoming many of them in September.
