Last Tuesday was Ada Lovelace Day. As well as all students in the school being off timetable and following a specially planned schedule of exciting talks and workshops, the school opened its doors to our valued partners and guests, some of whom ran workshops and joined us networking and business sessions.

Our T Level students played an integral role in the day. Many of them were tour guides for our external visitors - showing them around the school, dropping in on talks and workshops with the lower school and answering questions. Some of the T Level students had the fantastic opportunity to pitch their digital ideas to our audience - a real Dragon's Den moment!

The students also enjoyed a number of insightful workshops. Amazon and KPMG presented on apprenticeship opportunities and IBM supported them to earn more SkillsBuild digital badges and also delivered an engaging careers session to share their career journey to date and their learnings and advice.

We were incredibly proud of our T Level students. The softer skills programme which we place such high importance on during their time at Ada Lovelace really shone through and several guests commented on their maturity and confidence.

Coincidentally, Ada Lovelace Day also fell during national T Levels week. Our new Accountancy cohort introduced themselves to a number of Insurance companies, hoping to lay the foundations of securing some work placements in the future.

Thank you to our guests and partners for so generously giving their time, we're already looking forward to Ada Lovelace Day 2026!
