We are delighted to announce that the Year 7 girls football team became borough champions last week after beating a strong Elthorne Park High School side 2-0!
Goalscorers: Qamara and Danielle
Player of The Match: Alana who pulled off some outstanding saves.
Head of PE Ms Moran said she wants to "celebrate the outstanding commitment shown by our Year 7 girls football team to wider learning and to representing our school this season. The girls have played 14 fixtures and remain unbeaten, winning both the league and the Borough Cup, which is an incredible achievement. While the scoreline may not fully reflect the quality and challenge posed by a very strong Elthorne team, our girls demonstrated resilience, determination, and teamwork throughout. Excellent defensive performances and outstanding goalkeeping ensured we prevented Elthorne from scoring.
Every girl played an important role in this success and has been a true credit to the school. Throughout the season, they have conducted themselves with professionalism, dedication, and pride, fully embodying our 10:10 ethic. We are extremely proud of their achievements".
Congratulations to the team: Qamara, Adriana, Danielle, Asawair, Yara, Keleyssa, Alana and Emma!
