The students had a tour of two (out of the three) research centres within the School of Computing and Engineering (The Faringdon Centre - non destructive testing and remote sensing and the THRIVE centre - Medical AI). They were shown the equipment and their usage, with clear emphasis as to their application in real world problems and environments. 

They then joined an Introduction to Web design and development lecture (Java)
