Last week Emilia and Yara took part in the regional final of Jack Petchey's Speak Out Challenge (JPYSO) at Featherstone High School, where Yara and Emilia delivered beautiful, uplifting speeches with positive messages about creativity and the importance of avoiding comparisons with others. This was after they had already shone in a competitive in-school final.
We were proud that Emilia came second and that Yara came third.
At Ada Lovelace, all Year 10 students have the opportunity to participate in a day long workshop led by facilitators from JPYSO - giving them an invaluable opportunity to develop their public speaking skills and confidence.
