The Association of Colleges has selected Twyford CofE Academies Trust as one of nine centres supporting the rollout of new vocational qualifications across England.
The hub is part of a Department for Education-funded programme run by the Association of Colleges to help staff introduce new technical and vocational qualifications across England. Twyford CofE Academies Trust will bring together schools, colleges, providers and employers in the London area, to give students the skills businesses need now and in the future.
Ada Lovelace CofE High School is part of the Twyford Trust and is solely a T Level provider, specialising in the delivery of these qualifications in their sixth form. This appointment recognises Ada Lovelace CofE High School’s T Level success and its partnerships with employers to prepare students for work. The appointment also recognises Twyford CofE Academies Trust teaching school hub for Ealing, Harrow, Hounslow and Hillingdon - Teach West London. This partnership of T Levels at Ada Lovelace and the teaching school hub combines best practice in T Level curriculum delivery and industry engagement with experience of delivering exceptional vocational professional development across an extensive network.
Dame Alice Hudson, Twyford Church of England Academies Trust CEO said:
The T Level programme we have developed has created transformational opportunities for our students, enabling progression into employment, apprenticeships, higher education, and wider destinations that have exceeded our initial expectations. Seeing the impact of high-quality technical education on learners' futures has been one of the most rewarding aspects of our journey.
We are therefore delighted to support other providers as they explore and develop their own technical education offer within the evolving further education landscape. Sharing effective practice, lessons learned, and implementation strategies is essential if we are to collectively strengthen opportunities for young people across the sector.
Our partnership with the Association of Colleges (AoC) has been a vital part of this success, providing invaluable support, collaboration, and professional learning opportunities throughout our T Level journey. We look forward to continuing this work with the AoC and colleagues across the sector as we champion technical education and contribute to the ongoing development of a skilled, ambitious, and future-ready workforce.
The programme sits at the heart of post-16 pathways, supporting providers to deliver quality T Levels, V Levels and Level 2 qualifications with confidence and consistency. It is designed to strengthen teaching practice, develop subject expertise and ensure learners across the country benefit from high-quality technical education.
